“Yoga de l’énergie” or "Energy yoga" is one of the many forms of Hatha Yoga, from Roger Clerc teachings (France) and Milarepa lineage (Tibetan origin).

 

Energy Yoga is a complete and progressive Hatha Yoga, particularly suited to Westerners, characterized by conscious gestures, where firmness is combined with gentleness. It places great importance on preparing the body, improving breathing capacity, (the way of breathing); deepening awareness of the breath, ("the art of breathing"), concentration, and relaxation.

 

The specificity of “Energy Yoga” includes:

• Listening to the body and inner feelings,

• Harmonizing breathing and movement to conscious gesture

• Circulating energy through polarities (yin.yang, left-right, up-down, ...)

• Awareness to seasonal energies, a reflection of nature within us.

This yoga practice is accessible to all since it adapts to each practitioner whatever their dispositions. It allows everyone to experience the practice at their own pace, according to their needs and aspirations (well-being, self-awareness, inner research, etc.)

Yoga practice is then a place of experiences, revealing our singularity and our universality, offering us an opening to more self-awareness for a better relationship with ourselves and the world.

How does a session roll?

Each session is punctuated by a time of refocusing, preparations and postures, and ends with a moment of relaxation/rest, meditation.

  • Softens and strengthens the body as a whole

  • Reduces physical and emotional tension

  • Calms the mind, reduces stress

  • Promotes sleep

  • Strengthens the immune system

  • Improves concentration

From breathing to breath...

Breathing is one of the pillars of yoga practice and is the very heart of life.

Our breathing is simply a reflection of our life, our being, and vice versa. We can see this in any state of stress where breathing can accelerate or even stop. The practice of yoga brings us to this awareness, this vigilance in our daily lives.

 

Breathing is the starting point of the practice, the basic step to which we must constantly return.


"Empty well to better fill," a famous quote by Roger Clerc, indicates the importance of freeing ourselves from all tension or residue through exhalation, to allow a new breath to be born in greater volume and space, so that a new inspiration, a new air, can unfold and find a new burst of life.

Seasonal Energy

Like Nature, we are governed by internal cycles. Since humans are not separate from nature, they live under the influence of the seasons, which stimulate certain energies within them.

 

Thus, our body, our being, has specific needs:

in the fall, slow down

in the winter, regenerate

in the spring, be reborn

in the summer, shine

 

The practice of energy yoga draws on seasonal energies to establish a physical and physical balance throughout the year.
